10 Mile Relay. 4 Person Teams. 2.5 Mile Legs.Complete with Fun, Food, Music & Drink
The Zilker Relays is a 10-mile race with teams comprised of 4 runners. Each participant runs a 2.5 mile loop from one central festival/transition area. The team concept of the Zilker Relays is not unique, but the combination of a relay, festival home base, drinks and music, make this experience a favorite for runners of all calibers and ages. You don't have to train like a marathoner for this one. All you have to do is be willing to run/jog/walk/stroll 2.5 miles, enjoy live music and great food and get 3 of your siblings/kids/buddies/colleagues to come join you for this one of a kind running experience.
TIMED DIVISIONS
Race against the best of the best, or participate against other family teams.
At Zilker Relays, we want everyone to find a place to race or to have fun at their own pace.
Not quite ready for 2.5 miles on those little legs? Don't worry! We have an event for kids 12 and under. All legs are approximately 250 meters.
We have a great spectator-friendly course, that allows us to put on a terrific post-race party on the grass under the shade of the park's beautiful Oaks.
The After-Party ...
We are reviewing plans for out after-party. We will continue to consult with the COA and Parks Department, along with local health officials as to the best way to host the race and maintain the health and safety of all involved.
Beneficiary
We are committed to building a healthy, fit community. We think working to help keep kids active and healthy is cool and we want to do what we can to help get them off to a great start in life. We look for beneficiaries with the same interests in mind when we form our local partnerships.
